Amherst High School is located in Amherst, which is approx. 15 miles north of Lynchburg on highway 29.

From North:
Highway 29 south from Charlottesville to Amherst, take third Amherst exit (29 North Business). Go to top of hill approx. 1/2 mile. Turn right at first school entrance proceed to rear of school, go thru gate on left to parking lot.


From South:
Highway 29 north from Lynchburg, take first Amherst exit (29 North Business) ,exit is just pass Sweet Briar College. Go to top of hill approx. 1/2 mile. Turn right at first school entrance, proceed to rear of school, go thru gate on left to parking lot.

 From East:
 ( Richmond / Tidewater ) take 64 West to 29 South follow above from North.

From West:
( Waynesboro / Staunton ) take 64 East to exit 99, follow 250 East to 151 South to 6 East to 29 South follow above From North.

From Roanoke: Take 460 East to 501 North ( Candlers Mt. Road ). Go thru two stoplights take ramp to 29 North to Amherst.
