2026 GJNC At-Large Bid Information

As we prepare for the 2026 Girls Junior National Championships season, the Old Dominion Region wants to ensure our clubs and teams are fully informed about At-Large Bid opportunities for the 18s and 12–17s age divisions.

While many teams will earn bids through Regional Championships or National Qualifiers, the At-Large process provides another pathway for teams hoping to compete at GJNC. It is especially important for teams competing close to application deadlines to understand their options in advance.

Please review the timelines and criteria below and share this information within your club programs.

2026 GJNC 18s At-Large Timeline

• Application Opened: January 18

• Application Closes: March 10

• Bid Announcements: No later than March 24

• Application Opened: February 1

• Application Closes: April 15

• Bid Announcements: No later than May 15

Divisions Eligible for At-Large Bids

At-Large Bids are available only in the following divisions:

• Open

• USA

• Liberty

At-Large Eligibility Requirements

Teams applying for an At-Large Bid must:

• Compete in at least one National Qualifier (NQ) in the same age group and division (Open, USA, or Liberty)

• Have at least one top-50% finish in the division for which they are applying

• Be registered for the appropriate GJNC division in AES

• Ensure all results are accurate and entered in AES by the Tuesday following their final eligible National Qualifier

• Be fully compliant with all Regional and USAV GJNC deadlines and requirements

Important Reminder for Clubs

If your team does not secure a bid at your Regional Championship, the At-Large process may provide a final opportunity to qualify. Please pay close attention to application deadlines, particularly if your Regional Championship occurs close to the cutoff date.
