The Old Dominion Region Board has approved a revised Junior Tryout Policy, effective immediately. The goal of this update is to ensure consistent, athlete-centered practices across all ODR junior clubs.

Tryouts may not begin until after the conclusion of each division’s USA Volleyball Junior National Championship
– Girls’ programs: after GJNC
– Boys’ programs: after BJNCBefore tryouts, clubs may host activities such as skills sessions, open gyms, camps, leagues, or clinics—but these events must:
– Be open to all athletes
– Include no evaluations for team selection
– Involve no recruiting, promises, or discussions about roster spots
Any event that does not meet these requirements will be considered an early tryout and subject to enforcement.
