Have you ever wanted to try volleyball? Now’s your chance!

The USA Volleyball Try Volleyball initiative is back for 2026, giving kids across the country the opportunity to experience volleyball in a fun, welcoming environment—completely free of charge. Designed for beginners, Try Volleyball clinics introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of the game while connecting them with volleyball programs in their local communities. Whether you’re discovering volleyball for the very first time or simply curious about the sport, these clinics are the perfect place to get started.

Who Can Participate?

Try Volleyball clinics are open to students entering grades 1–8 who are new to the sport and want to give volleyball a try. Participants will:
  • Learn basic volleyball skills
  • Play fun games and activities
  • Meet local coaches and players
  • Experience the excitement of volleyball—all at no cost

Three Opportunities in the Old Dominion Region

We’re excited that three Old Dominion Region clubs are hosting Try Volleyball clinics this summer:
  • Tidewater Volleyball Association
  • VA Wave Volleyball
  • Performance Volleyball (NRV Juniors)
These clubs are joining organizations across the country in helping introduce the next generation of athletes to the sport we love.
